HD TV Sucks?

I have a HD TV from Samsung. I don't watch TV so I don't use cable or anything like that. I do play video games though! But when I play a video game the graphics are "Trailed" which is annoying. Like if I turned around in the game the whole area in which I'm in will "Trail" with it so everything goes like.. Blurred. Like if there is any movement on the screen it's fuzzy looking. HD TV's arn't for gaming I guess? I have Playstation 3 and Xbox by the way so it's not from like retro games.

I PICK BEST ANSWER AS SOON AS I CAN!!!!

HD TV Sucks?
It sounds like you have an LCD TV. LCDs switch state slowly and, therefore, create what is called "motion blurr" on fast moving objects. Some LCD TVs attempt to compensate for this blurr with 120 screen updates every second (120hz). The new Sharp Aquos seems to work best in reducing motion blurr when gaming because it uses a faster LCD (4 msec.) The Samsung "Auto Motion Plus" feature is OK. Sony's "Motion Flow" feature just plain sucks!
Reply:The problem is not HD per se, its the plasma or LCD technology used for the screen. Cathode Ray screens are much faster and you do not get the trail. I think LCD is improving but Cathode Ray will be the best for games for the time being.

Obviously since you are using PS3 and XBOX a video card is not relevant.
Reply:your video card dosent have enough space try getting a bigger one

The information I have is ~

~HD Television requires a system to be supported with HD senders at a subscription service

~Games are for kids appreciating the trails

I'd never buy HD TV or any games!

Best wishes~
Reply:LCDs have often had an issue with "ghosting", or the "trailing" that you're talking about. This is generally caused by a slower refresh rate and shows up on fast moving images such as FPS video games and sports. Generally, LCDs with a refresh rate of 8ms or below and newer sets with the 120Hz processors do not have this issue.

HDTVs are definately good for gaming, just not all of them can handle the motion as needed.
