The tv is 5-10 years old it has the 3 plugs in back I hook the playststion into r-w-y and it has the audio out left and right beside I tryed using a speaker into that jack and it didn't work also I am good at electronics so I have no problem taking the back off i just don't think that will help so I need "help" it has a button infront that is tv-game its works but no sound on tv part

You MIGHT have the TV set to the SAP AUDIO mode which would cause your TV channels to have no sound, but allows the Video 1 Audio to fully function....
Set your audio mode to main or stereo and make sure it's not setup for SAP mode....
The only other thing that would cause your symptoms is if the TUNER could not send the audio signal out of it.....
I'm leaning towards the SAP being turned on ......
