PLEASE ANSWER - TV output problem?

PLEASE ANSWER - TV output problem?

I recently burnt '300' -the movie- to disk and it worked perfectly on my dvd player so i decided to connect my dvd player to my tv.

The cable ive got has 3 colours on one end - red, yellow, white - and 2 colours on the other end - yellow and black. The three coloured end i connect to the tv in its correct place and the two coloured end i connect the balck one to 's video' and the yellow one to 'audio' in the dvd players socket.

On my tv everything works perfectly but the problem is that theres no colour with the movie - it shows up in black and white.

Even without any disk in the player the main screen has no colour on the tv output This probably means that this problem has nothing to do with the movie

My tv's system is Multi and my dvd player can be adjusted to play PAL and NTSC.

How can i get colour with the tv when i connect it with my dvd player?

PLEASE ANSWER - TV output problem?
go back to your original post and look at my answer DO not keep posting this same question everywhere .. or you might get it deleted .. you cannot keep asking the same question all over q and A ..

Try unplugging that yellow cable to your dvd player and see if that brings the color in ...if it does leave it unplugged ... sVHS will carry both video and audio signals

........

Fecomosi ... I think what he is using is an svhs to rca cable ... the link below is to his original post he has posted this same question 5 times in now but won't stick around long enough to answer questions so that I could help him .. I am about ready to give up ..
Reply:You need to use 3 colors on 1 end and 3 colors on the other.

Then you just match up the colors according to the output on the DVD player.
