I want to hook up my laptop to my tv so I could see my computer on the tv. I have s-video out on my laptop. I heard that some people burnt out there video card and audio card because they hooked it up to there tv. Is this true if so how do I find out if my video and audio cards are compatable with it being hooked up to my tv? Thanks.
Computer to tv?
I have heard of no such thing. Unless you are trying to output a resolution higher than your own. If the manufacturer knew that these problems would arise often they wouldn't put an S-Video out port on the laptop.
Reply:Ha ha, don't believe everything you hear. The only way hooking up an S-Video cable can burn up your card is if it suddenly bursts into flames. If your laptop and your tv both have S-Video, use it!
Add: The computer will detect the best resolution for the TV. IT WON'T BURN UP!
