sounds to me like you have a lot of noise in you wiring. You could try getting a surge suppressor that also filters out noise carried in your power lined just ask someone at an electronics store they should know what you are talking about. you might also want to look at the wires you are using are they good ones or are they worn and cheap just another thing to think about.
Reply:You can try unplugging the unit you are not using first, ex. if you're hooked up to cable or sat , unhook your DVD player or any games. I would think you tried new cables as well.

Your problem could be electrical. You should try taking the DVD player to another part of the house %26amp; use it on another tv in another room (if possible). If you still have the lines it could mean you're picking up electrical interference. Anything rechargable in the house can radiate, bad ballast if you have any fluorescent lighting or even a bad power transformer outside can cause problems. You may want to talk to your neighbour(s). %26amp; see if they experince any of this too.
Reply:What type of connection are you using to connect your DVD player to your TV?

Do not use the RF adapter. You should use those RCA component cables or the S-video if your TV has it.
Reply:you probalby have cable so you need to switch to dish
