What is wrong, parents or TV Station or... just turn off the TV?

In our country there are 9-10 TV station and some of them is on air for 24 hours and unfortunately everybody can access this tv programme. Most of the programme is not for young children and the TV station show the programme at anytime, morning, afternoon, day and night. The population in our country are 265 millions. Most of them only have TV channel to watch for because it's no need to pay except for the electricity. They do not have anything for relaxing them. So from young to old people watch TV.


You know, the most favourite TV programme is a criminal story which on air from very early in the morning until late at night. In that programme we will see the blood, the victim.. i cannot imagine and say how brutal it is.


You know some days ago, there were older brother smacked-down his younger brother (still in his kindergarten) until he died, because they always saw the smack down TV programme.


What is wrong in this situation, parents or TV Station?

Are you living in the US? Otherwise, I didn't know Indonesia had that much population yet.





Anyway, my answer is the parents. The TV stations only show what people watch. If people didn't watch it, they would make different shows.


If the kids get violent, it's because the parents didn't teach them that violence is not the right way to solve the problem. And if you're in the US or Indonesia, I believe violence is still pretty prevalent, so there's your problem.

Reply:Turn off the T.V. Get your kids outside to play, or if they must stay in, then read a book or play a game or do schoolwork.
Reply:TV Stations usually air "adult" programmes late at night when it's assumed that "children" have all gone to bed. In this case, it's mostly the parents' fault for not monitoring their children. However, a certain degree of censorship should be employed when directly broadcasting images to homes. Therefore, the TV station bore part of the blame as well.

Reply:Most kids are going to learn about everything sooner or later no matter what. It is the parents duty to educate their kids about all things in the proper manner.

Parents cannot put a ful control on their kids as this can also let them astry and find some other hidden means ( as this is the humman naure to 2 c wat is hidden)





I think that is all of us who r responsible coz TV shows u wat u want. Stop demanding criminal story, superficial love stories and romantic movies in which hero can do any thing but only for her love.
