Would direct tv need to know if i cut out my cable?

if i decide to get direct tv and cancel cable. would direct tv need to know that i cancel it or check cable boxes once i order direct tv?

their only reaosn for wanting to know is market research. They don't care at all. They want to sell you the service.





Some people keep the BASIC Basic cable for about $11 per month and forget the locals on Direct TV.
Reply:No. They don't care. I did nothing when I cancelled cable and went to Dish Network. However, when I switched back after 7 years, the cable company gave me a huge discount on installation when I told them I was a Dish customer.
