It happened about 2 weeks ago when I was on xbox live, where the tv had like a sandstone (white/yellow/cream) colored lines all over the tv.
My xbox is packed up ready to get fixed now, but I tried the tv, just to make sure that wasn't stuffed, But it showed the picture again (on AV channel). My normal tv channel is fine and always has been, but my AV stuffed up and isn't showing that normal black screen, but instead a picture of lines all over screen.
I checked it again last night, and the AV was fine
!! and I was happy.
But this morning I checked again,and the picture is back! And sometimes it goes fuzzy.
So whats happening with my tv??
I really don't wana get a new one.. ;_;

You need to tell us what INPUT this occurs on......
HDMI? If only that one input is goofy, then the HDMI converter is likely causing your problem....and it MIGHT be just due to the handshaking, and if so then your EDID may be freaking out.....
But if it's the Component inputs it's most likely the Video Jungle IC or (if it's LCD or DLP or Plasma) it could be the interface board between the Jungle and the display.....
You say your TV's Tuner works great all the time? Then I wouldn't think those are the cause, unless the tuner has it's own dedicated Video path into the jungle....If it does, then the LOW DEF Composite inputs should be working correctly too, as they SHARE the same input into the jungle......
See how hard it is to troubleshoot these TV sets? It's not easy unless you TEST ALL INPUTS and divide and conquer your problem....
I can only suspect you are using the HDMI input.....
Reply:Faint lines across a black picture is NORMALLY a simple Readjustment of the screen voltage on a CRT picture tube TV....
It could be Filtering caps if the lines roll.... Report It
