I just bought an Insignia flat screen TV from Best Buy. It was a floor model and checked out fine at the store with their cable hookup. Problem: it didn't come with a remote, so I bought a universal remote to change the channels. Well, I can do that, but I need to punch the numbers in because I can't do a channel setup on the TV. Anyone have any idea? It doesn't have a menu button on he TV itself, and the menu button on the universal remote (RCA) doesn't work.
And another problem: what channel does it have to be on to watch a DVD? I can't seem to get that to work either, and there isn't a way to put the TV on a video channel with the universal remote.
Is there a way to fix these problem? If not, does anyone know if I can order a new remote or something for the TV?
Thanks in Advance.

Insignia TV Help?
I have the perfect solution. Go to Best Buy's website, scroll down and near the bottom-center of the screen there will be a link that says "order parts" click that and then there be a link to a partner website. Click on that link and use your tv's model number to order the exact remote for that TV. That will solve all of your universal remote problems.
Reply:Unfortunately you may be out of luck. Insignia products are not made by Best Buy. Best Buy sells Insignia products as their store brand; however, they utilize one of several electronics manufacturers to create a given product. Your television could be made by anyone from Toshiba to LG which is where your problem comes in. Due to the nature of the television its almost impossible to get a universal remote (besides a learning remote) to properly operate an Insignia television. If you like the television and don't want to return it try the parts search option on Best Buy.com (near bottom of main page) or call 1-888-Best Buy to see if it is possible to order that remote. If that option does not work and you're not satisfied you should probably return it or try a more advanced universal (learning) remote.
