I have an svideo cable but my tv is older and does not have the svideo.
It does have those white, yellow, and red inputs, and it also has a cable input where you would connect it to the cable.

Would that work^^^?
Also, when I hook up the svideo to my other tv that it fits in, the sound only comes from the laptop. Is there anyway to make the sound come from the tv? I hooked up a speaker to my laptop but I'm wondering if it will play from the tv.
Connect computer to tv??
s video will only produce a video signal
I keep saying to myself why when they made the S Video cord how come they didnt make it so that it carries the sound with it too but it doesnt

Looks like your in luck it has a connection for the S Video and it will plug into your tv threw a Coaxial connection also know as regualr cable wire...
Reply:That adapter will work for the video and will be your easiest and cheapest solution.
As far as getting the sound to come from the TV, you'll have to get a Y-splitter (3.55mm-to-RCA) that will connect from your computer's headphone jack to the TV's Audio-In ports (Red/White). Just make sure you plug the RCA cables into the corresponding Video-in port you're using with the converter/s-video cable.
Here's what the Y-splitter looks like:
