Is the TV on?

I turned the TV on and watch for a short period of time. I went outside to do some yard work. No one is in with the TV. I'm ouside working and can not hear the TV. Is the TV on? I need to know right away. My electric bill is already very high and I can't afford to have the TV playing and no one knows if the TV is on.

Newer models have the auto-off feature. If theres no signal from your cable operator for about 15 minutes, the TV will turn off. But I dont think any TV knows if its being actually viewed! So my guess is that your TV is definitely on.

Get a bluetooth remote compatible with your TV set. Carry the remote with you if you are only going about your house when you are in mortal fear of power overutilisation.


When in doubt, just press the POWER OFF button. Oh and yes, make sure that you have separate OFF and ON buttons. Report It
